Five things to fill your mini keg with (that aren't beer)

By Tipzey HQ

Beer might be the obvious fill, but the keg handles anything you want cold and on tap. Two litres is the perfect batch size — big enough to share, small enough to finish. Here are five of our favourites.

1. Batch margaritas

Mix your margarita base in a jug, pour it in, and you've got cocktails on tap all afternoon. Use just enough gas to push the pour — no carbonation needed.

2. Cold brew

Fill it the night before and wake up to iced coffee on tap. It pours smooth, stays cold for hours, and looks unreasonably impressive on a bench.

3. Homemade seltzer

Carbonated water with fresh lime, mint or whatever fruit is around. With CO2 pressure keeping it sparkling, it stays crisp to the last glass.

4. Cider or ginger beer

Anything already carbonated is right at home. The gas keeps the fizz exactly where the bottle left it.

5. Kombucha

If you brew your own (or buy in bulk), the keg keeps it carbonated and pouring beautifully — and a 2L batch disappears faster than you'd think.

Whatever you fill it with, give the keg a rinse and clean after each use and it'll be ready for the next round.

Cold drinks all summer. On tap.
